We Discover Canada & Beyond Blog
Thank you for stopping by our blog about RV'ing in Canada and our travels beyond the Canadian borders.
First, though, I want to tell you about my RV Cookbook, "Tinfoil Cooking". The book is a former Amazon #1 Best Seller ebook and can be purchased on all Amazon websites. For Canada click here and for the USA click here. For a hard copy of the book, you can purchase it on my cooking website AndersCooks
This travel blog came about when we decided to RV across Canada and back. We thought it would be nice to be able to stay in touch with family and friends this way.
Camping in Golden BC |
This Cross Canada section is in 65 parts, starting and finishing in Victoria, BC.
We have labelled our posts by the name of the provinces which we travelled in at the time. We also have a few posts about RV Reviews, RV Stuff and Tech Stuff. It is all related in one way or another to our trip.
Low tide in the town of Alma on the Bay of Fundy NB |
We also have a cooking website called AndersCooks.ca where you can find some really good recipes.
In October of 2013, we embarked on a 12,000 km trip south to the trip of Baja
California, Mexico. This was an incredible trip.
The Baja trip we did only in our truck and rented different accommodations along the way, including a condo in San Jose del Cabo for three weeks. Here is part one of 33.
On this trip, we learned so much about Mexican culture. We even took some
cooking classes along the way.
We slept in some very nice places and in some not so nice under the palapa roof, but all were so very exciting and exhilarating.
In June of 2014, we did a 3 month trip through northern British Columbia, Yukon Territory, Northwest Territory and into Alaska in the USA.
We really enjoyed this trip, and we had some friends joining us for part of the trip, coming all the way from Switzerland. Canada's north is incredible, with so much beauty and wilderness. We have 47 blog posts from this trip. Part one is here.
In 2015 - 2016 we took our truck and trailer down to the Baja California
Peninsula. We boondocked on Coyote Beach south of Mulege for six weeks. We also camped at a full-service campground in Los Barriles, BCS.
Here are some posts from this trip. We had tons of fun. Check it out.
If you have travel suggestions, we would love to hear your comments and thoughts.
General comments are also welcome. You can do so at the bottom of each post or at the bottom of this page in the left column.
We would love to hear from you.
Till next time,
Liz and Anders
